nice I need to make my way out over there too. I have had my bike for about 4 months now and have only done runs to Heckerpass and Uvas how is 25 compared to those two?

I actually haven't done either one, but the 25 is pretty epic. Best road I've ever been on that's for sure.

With the backpack full of stuff and the pipe on my back there was not enough room for the camera! Actually I left it in Dave's tailbag... He should be getting a card reader and uploading the videos tonight... right Dave? :D:D

Quick question...

I noticed that all the bike had both high and low beams burning... Did you guys do the 'Head Light Mod' or is this a standard feature on newer models?

Looks like a great ride fella's, I'm jealous!

The firebolts run stock like that, all years. Both lightnings have the dual headlight mod.

Come out to the central coast of CA guys, it was 80 today, and 75 on the ride. HW 25 is awesome, plus if you want to top out your bike, there are 3 stretches of perfectly straight high speed road where you can just pin it right under the rev limiter in top gear.

Didn't know the Firebolts came stock with the dual lights...

Thanks for the invite Dave. We've got some pretty sweet riding here in Colorado. Unfortunately our 80dgr days are over for a while, at least at higher elevations.

Enjoy the weather guys!

[sad]

How was that ride home though? Just the nite ride to Salinas made me go out and buy an anti fog visor lol

Man you guys look like your having alot more fun than i did last night. Decided to make a run to town with dad(1125r&my9s) only got a jacket and helmet and it was about 55out not too bad till coming back at 30 bikes loved it we didnt then had to go 20mph on dirt road for last 2 miles home damn construction[mad]

Looks like a great ride. Whats up with the pipe? Did it fall off? Bet it was super loud. Did it effect performance? Also went on a great 175 mile ride this weekend. Followed hwy 49 through northern calif sierres to Truckee. Had to really watch the damp cold canyons for slick corners, but had the road to ourselves. The 9 ran like a champ. Cheers.

My Jardine mount lost a bolt and then the 2nd bolt started backing out of the case which let the pipe shake around and eventually cracked the mount. Luckily I heard it and stopped a few miles later to let the group catch up to me.
Since it was just a pipe I threw together to temporarily hold me over till my new Jardine comes in the mail, I decided to leave it on a fence post and we'll go back and get it at another time. But it was pretty loud and made for a good wheelie video [up] Oh yeah I had lost all my torque but on the top end it pulls like a train now ;)

Ride was terrible!! The backpack was OK on the ride over but when you strap a 12 pipe on top for the ride back it becomes exponentially more uncomfortable. Also, I'm pretty sure the pipe clipped someones rear view mirror while I was lane splitting on the 152. I forgot how much it stuck out :) I think I will put that pipe on tonight and see how it performs.
