I recently purchased a 2001 Blast.. From the outset, I was unsure about getting a sportbike of any sort...all the previous bikes Ive owned were cruisers.
So anyway (LOL), I came across the Blast thru a dealer online for a reasonable price. When I went to look at it, I found it to be a better looking bike than the pictures showed. Took it for a test ride and fell in love with it. Seems to fall right into the betweenzone of "not too fast" and "not too slow", that I like. Resposive as hell, lighter than I'm used to, but corners better than my previous bikes. Only thing I had to replace was the speed sensor. 10 minute swapout and I was out and on the road.
I wanted to thank everyone here who's posts Ive been following over the last week. The research Ive done here has helped me out alot.
I'd had a mild issue with vapor lock on the 1st night I got her, but havent been able to reproduce the problem since after several test runs. Das boot is ok for the time being. Already saving towards the one Ive seen mentioned as a better replacement.
Enjoy your rides and be safe, and again, thank you for your time spent helping others and indirectly helping me.
