Hey, Joe here.

Bought an 07' XB12R (Blk & Red). I've put about 1000 miles on it so far and love the hell out of it. The previous owner did the ecm, air filter and the Jardine, and a brand new set of Diablo's. I took off the belt guards and passenger pegs and relocated the plate and installed light n bolts for the plate mounts. Tonight the RT-1 repack kit comes and I will repack it. The rivets just started comming loose so the timing is perfect with that. Now all I have to do is build confidence in the corners. This thing is a keeper!!

Thanks to everyone who shares info here on the board.

Welcome sir... another one hooked. ;)

Baby steps in the corners.. you are going to learn how awesome it handles but take your time.

Beautiful XB12R! I am going to put that color combination ony my 1125R somewhat soon. Welcome to the family, and Congrats on the purchase!

Thanks for the kind words.

I repacked the RT-1 at work today, it had 15,000 miles on it and was pretty blown out. I bought the repack kit from ASB. Like a dummy I didn't take any pic's during the steps but it went smooth. Looking forward to hearing it tonight, it was getting pretty loud.
I paid $5k for the bike with 14k mi. It came with a set of pit bull stands and he threw in a $400 Alpinestar leather jacket for $100. Oh, and he just had the 14k mi service done. So I feel like I got a pretty good deal.
