another noob question. Miles per tank and "F" trip

what are you guys averaging per tank?

I know on my Harley I was going 190mile almost on the dot and the fuel light would come on. I could then go another 40-50 before needing gas

I'm new the Buell, only put a couple hundred miles on it yet,
Just found out about the "F" tripometer

so... ? what do you guys get?

My fuel light comes on between 120 and 130 miles

I have gone almost 30 miles on the 'F' trip... on my XB12Ss


not wanting to ever go further than that

During breakin period, the fuel light came on between 90 and 98 miles. I could get exactly 27.2 miles after the fuel light came on...I know that for a fact.

Now I fill up at about 135 miles with ~3.3 gallons (1600 miles on the odo).

BTW, my '05 FXDi averages 41 mpg, and the fuel light is not reliable at all

I do know on past bikes, generally when new the mileage kinda blows and gets better

My lightning (04) goes 40 miles (no more) after the light comes on. I found out the hard way.

averaging 125 miles before the light comes on but i can only put 2.7 gallons in every time and im supposed to have a 3.7 tank- 2005 XB12S

when if first got it, it was about 120 and the light came on. after it was broken in, i could go about 135-140 before it would come on. now it seems i'm back to about 125.
and i put in 3 gallons when i stop and the light has come on

After break-in and running premium grade, I am at 120 to 130 miles when the light comes on, also.

3-3.5 when the light comes on...
I fill til the nozzle stops, then fill until the gas reaches the lower inner lip, anything over that, my bike does weird shit and won't want to start...

On my '04 XB12R with K&N a.f.,factory race muffler,and race ECM
I get 160-170 miles on a tank. Ran 37 miles on "F" trip with the fuel light on once last week. Usually get 40-50 mpg have gotten 52 before (or 34).
