And damn oh9bolt, just saw your accident thread. It's good to see that you are riding again! Motorcycles are such a big part of my life and couldn't imagine what I would do without them. Certainly helps to see stories like yours.

No hard feelings on the helmet... Prob won't ever wear an open face again, or ride w/o every bit of protective gear I can fit on me

i had a wreck, @ 60mph with no protective gear. walked away with a few bruises. i would love to tell you that because of the accident, but that isnt true.
the fact of it is that i started wearing gear because of the people here promoting it. and pictures like the one you posted....it makes it very real and personal.

If I wasn't wearing a good full helmet I would not be here today! I believe in ATGATT and I have since the day I got my bike. I always say I'd rather sweat than bleed.

I went through a phase when I wanted a triumph bobber and I said to myself there is no way I would wear a full face helmet or a jacket on it (it just doesnt go with the style of the bike) if I ever do get one I will probably look like a dork all geared up.

As I've gotten older I've come to the realization that I am a dork and I accept that as who I am. So, that means I ride whatever I like no matter how dorky I look. haa haa

I have friends that say why do you wear gear if you don't ride crazy, that to me is the most ignorant thing a person can say about wearing gear. There is a million other ways to get injured on a moto than riding crazy, other drivers are the worst fear to me.
