I've had the idea for a front exit muffler rolling around in my head for a long time. So I finaly got around to making it. This is version #1. Version #2 will look the same but internals will be different. Unfortunatly I won't be able to do any testing because they are predicting 12" of snow for tomorrow.

looks like a good job. course I don't know what the interior would've looked like before so I take it there was room to do that? what exactly do you plan on changing inside for #2?
anything that stops it from blowing against my leg when i'm getting on/stopped seems like a good idea to me

I completely gutted a stock xb9 muffler. Then put my internals in it.

It is an adjustable tuning baffle.

That is what I really like about all of your exhausts, they have an adjustable tuning baffle. I won't know if I'm keeping my XB9SX CityX and getting an 1125CR until I get settled in Hohenfels and find out roughly how much I'll be bringing in every month. But if I keep my 9 then I will definately be getting an exhaust from you, shipping is gonna kill me though.

Must be all of the snow, ice and cold up there. Nothing else to do except come up with new and different exhausts. Very cool.

any way to lighten up the stock exhaust while doing your mod? i got my can today and it is heavy as hell,when i got my 9r it already had the jardine rt1 on it, so today was the first time i've had a stock can in my hands.

Did you get a 9 or a 12 can. The 12 cans are bit heavier. The lightest one I can make is a Black Majic single outlet 9 muffler. It will weigh about 6 pounds less. That's not to bad considering the stock muffler weighs about 13 pounds.

Well after shoveling and snowplowing I managed to get the muffler installed today. Here is an installed pick and a garage video. I still need to cut out the lower fairing and get it installed. As you can see in the video I won't be doing any riding soon.

sounds realy good,any perfomance bennies to that exit style or just the uniqueness of the exhaust exit? how does this can compare to the black majic ld in loudness? very nice job though,looks like you'll be spending alot of time in the garage from the snow.

Thanks. On paper and in theory there should be a good performance increase. But I won't know for sure until there is some good on the road testing done. I also like the uniqueness of having the exit in the front. Should be a good conversation piece.

Sound level wise it is very close to the Black Majic.

I'll be spending a lot of time in the shop now. I spend a lot of time there no matter what season it is. I've got an addiction to making/fabing stuff. [up]

This was last winters project. I made the handlebars, oil tank, exhaust, battery tray, rear fender struts, licence plate holder, air cleaner insert, foreward controls, hand tooled the leather seat, plus machined all the mounting brackets, bungs and spacers.

What are my options if I were to send you a XB12 core? You talk alot about using XB9 cores....

I like the xb9 cores better. Because they are lighter than the 12 cans. Plus there is no interactive valve to have to deal with. My internals that I make are a real tight fit in the muffler once it is gutted. They get even tighter and harder to fit in the 12 muffler due to the valve. I'm currently working on a way to remove the valve fairly easily so that I don't have to raise my prices to do the 12 mufflers.

I'm interested, but unfortionatly i dont have a 9 core. I also have no use for the valve because im going to be running the race ECU and open air box kit. Keep me posted on ur developments for the 12 core!

my question is about the other bike? can you really sit on that leather seat? looks like you'd just fall thru the frame

hey tattoo72,yes,no front brakes,the rear are two front calipers of off a R1,not me in the shot,my buddy Greg.318 lbs with 95 hp at the rear,a bit hard to control.LOVE IT!!
