just curios if there is any alaska buellers? im from fairbanks looking forward to good summer of riding

I want to move there.....been looking at properties. Did I mention you suck :D, I love it there. I have family in anchorage, wasilla. I went to Alaska and traveled around and saw the sights for a month and did not want to come home. How's the weather? I'm a snow freak [up]

I live in OK, but have always wanted to visit/travel & hunt & fish, through and one day live in alaska, since I was a kid.

not to hi-jack your thread but,
I would like to see some of the Alaskan Buellers pics of their Buells with the Alaska woods & lakes,& rivers,& mountains in the background, in a new thread if anyone has some of those pics!

How to get an instant death sentence from my wife: "Honey I am being transferred to Alaska." :D:D:D:D

My buell came from alaska. Old guy, like 70's moved down here, he was in the navy up there. Got down to the states and his wife bought him a new harley and told him he was too old for sport bikes, so he sold it because he loved his new bike. His loss my gain!

Grew up in Anchorage. No way I could handle going back. There's only a few good months of riding a year, and the roads are really beat up.

Mountain biking up there is amazing however.:)

You Alaskans (think that is correct) are all nuts, state may be beautiful but the cool or and cold weather is a killer for me. Oh and the bears, HELL no!!

frankly i'm not a huge fan of living here. it's so enchanting during the summer, no sales taxes in anc, the real alaska is only a half hour out of town. but for a twenty two year old guy like me, theres only a few roads to ride, the ratio of police to citizens is rediculous. chicks up here are second rate.(very second rate.)
and the cost of living cancels out the extra money you make. studded tires for winter, autostart/block heater. in town property taxes are rediculous. and the entire economy is dependant on the oil industry. i can not wait to move somewhere there is something to do. if i could give anyone any advice, move to oregon, the weather is better and the only thing your missing is the moose. (Which are More dangerous then Bears)

Alaska seems to be the hot spot for discovery and TLC these days... gold rush, deadliest catch, palin, flying wild, etc...

But I still find it silly we have a state that in some parts still has a prohibition. Dont they know thats how the mobs got their start back in the 20's?!?!

bttrfngrz, Not Oregon. They cram everyone into authorized urban centers. No one is allowed to build outside the urban centers unless they can prove they plan to actively farm the land (unless they have managed to elect property rights believers to overturn that nonsense).
It is the land of euthanasia and "assisted suicide" as a treatment option for cancer patients on the state health plan.
Have to move further south and east to achieve personal and economic freedom in the US.
:D:D:D:D

il have to do a photo thread of some of the rides i plan on doing this summer to valdez and anchorage from were i am at

i am from fairbanks. but currently live in minnesota. was there this last summer would have loved to bring my bike. our plan is to go back if we find jobs. might see me around.

Isnt it to cold to ride? I know you are use to it and have studded tires. But this just seems alittle much to me.
