Hey yall I just got my dream assignment to HICKAM AFB in Oahu, Hawaii? I was wondering if there were any buellers on the island? It will be a while until I actually get there but I was just wondering what the riding was like and such...Thanks!

LOL yeah if you wanna pay to have your stuff shipped over im lucky enought to have TMO ship my bike over as it is...

Bunch of Buellers over here. There is no group or group rides I know of.But as far as riding its fun.Expect a brief shower on a circle island cruz its fun.A handful of Buellers stop by the Grass Skirt Grill on the North Shore on the Sunday's on the circle route or to check out the monster waves.Just stay awake because there are lots of visitors not looking at the road and do lots of dumb things that can ruin your day!!!

I bet its nice there hula. One question though, being on a island arent you sort of limited on routes for your bike or are there lots of side roads to ride on?

hey you get a chance stop by 2036B Pua kika place in Aliamanu crater and take a few pics hehe my old stomping grounds when my dad was stationed @ Schofield barracks. 84-88 Went to Radford High off Salt lake blvd just up from the Stadium I learned to drive in Honolulu stadium parking lot lol. I got a flag that flew on the Arizona Memorial on Dec 7th 1987 when I was in NJROTC in Radford for most Patriotic Cadet lol.

thanks for the tips and info hula and strmvt...yeah I am a wx officer for the AF at soon to be at the 17th OWS so im excited. How are the prices on parts and everything since everything costs so much more to be brought over and such?

Yes samiam901 there are only so many main roads however the island is big and there is a lot of different kind of riding.Sad thing is the race track closed where you could not get up too much speed but the turns were great. You had to keep footpegs in stock if you were really having a good time.As far as getting parts the internet keeps you close as anywhere on the painland. Two or three days for shipping.Or the dealership has some stuff instock if you go by the airport area where the dealership is.

Aloha strmvt,I will check out that address for you.Congrats on that flag!Hope you still have it.Can you imgaine racing all over Oahu on your favorite Buell. It is fun...

I hope I can do the same very soon! How is the overall cost of living over there? I mean I will be getting a pretty decent allowance increase since its considered to be pretty expensive but really how much more is it than say northern Virginia or somewhere like it?

Any Oahu Buellers feel like helping me out with a TPS reset? I don't have the cable or software, and not sure I'd know how to do it if I did. I'll buy the beer.

Hey STRMVT! That's cool Radford ! I am a grad of the same place. Went from 88-92, and Also lived down in the crater. When I joined the army tried and tried to get back over there, but just never happened.
