Well, I guess this is pretty far off M/C topic. But if you are a picker... what guitars you like? What amps you play? What style music you mostly play?

gibson gs. telecaster( mexican) fender tune deluxe( currently broke and may never get fixed)
Style- As I lay Dying, Erra, August Burns Red, Born of Osiris. Don't know what genre you called all that.

I dabble in the art of stringy things. I have played in many bands over the years from bluegrass to melodic death metal. I hoard guitars...... I am an intermediate luthier. Right now my main guitars are two seven strings. A dean rc7, fantastic seriously underrated guitar btw, and a 7 Frankenstein made from aparts from an early issue ibanez 7321 with a solid AAA mahogany body with a 1in deep flamed top. Was into 8 strings for a while. 9 strings very briefly, I think I have now permanently settled in 7. As for the rig I play a Laney irt120h and a Vader 4x12. I seriously love this combo. I've gone through many amps and feel that this is easily the most versatile "heavy" focused rig I have ever had. Right now I am messing around with some heavier music with an old friend of mine. I'll link the SoundCloud later if you guys are interested.

I play folk and bluegrass too. I have an old old old fender acoustic and a newer cheaper fender 12 string I plunk around on in the later hours of the evening.

Music is the one thing I feel for as strong as I feel for my motorcycle. They are both a large part of who I am. I am glad that bother people share these passions :)

2x steinbergers and a schecter s-1 elite. Mainly play hard rock, but also like old country pickin

Bass player here. I currently play in a 90s "buzz" cover band (Silverchair, nirvana, etc). I play both finger and pick style. My rig is a Markbass hybrid 600w pushing an Ampeg "fridge" 8x10 cab. Keeps the guitar players in check. I use a 5 string Squier Jazz V active for the versatility, an Ibanez EDB400 Ergodyne for half step/drop tuning, and I bought a Epiphone Goth Explorer because the price was good for a backup. I also have a Fender T- Bucket acoustic bass for when we are just hangin around somewhere.

I've been playing for around 22 years. I mostly play blues, blues rock, and hard rock. I have a bunch of stuff collected over the years. Mostly various Les Paul's. I have a R9 flame top that has been my go to for 3-4 years now. Other than LP's I have an Ibanez JS2400 for hard rock.

For amps I usually like smaller combos that I can crank up. I've been using a Fuchs ODS30 for a while and like it quite a bit. I like little Fender amps too. For the heavy stuff I have a Fender 5150 III 50w head and 4-12. It peels paint.

I played in bands when I was younger, but life got in the way. It's just a hobby for me now. I do like to make guitar kits as a hobby. Have a lot to learn as far as that goes.

I can't imagine playing 7 strings or more ha ha. I don't even have six totally figured out yet lol.

I play guitar a little, played in a few bands here and there and did really well in one of them but after that dissolved, I kind if gave up for a long time. I still have my guitars lying around but they don't get much use. I loved playing live and traveling but lost my way. Has a Johnson 4x12 millennium cabinet but sold it, still have my PRS ce22 and a result mexi-strat that is my main fooling around guitar that I play through a line6 spider 2 cabinet when I feel like attempting it here and there.

I also play drums and bass have a mapex set, and a schecter bass through some cheapy trace elliot rig I bought to f around on

Music is still something I hold dear to my heart and have a great passion for. Good to see we have a musical bunch here.

I'll play anything that makes noise, but I'm actually a DJ. I can't read music, but everything I do is by ear. I'm also very much a song writer and have sold a fair share of original songs. I currently only have 1 acoustic Esteban guitar, 1 random cheaper fender 5 string electric. I used to have a Nirvana tribute P style bass guitar from Ibanez.which my ex stole and sold to her friend for $25 (imagine how pissed I was). My lady has a pretty high class keyboard and could play a ton of instruments.

I picked up guitar as a teen, played in some bands & gigged a bit in my 20s. I still hack away at a Godin SD which I picked up ~3 years ago & which is the most versatile axe I've played among all the other Strats, LPs, & Gretschs I've also owned (& long ago pawned to pay for tuition!).

If you're unfamiliar with Godin, I'd recommend seeking one out & giving it a try. They are made in North America, they do everything from a Gibson crunch to a Fender quack, and at a very reasonable price point.

I've been playing for about 17 years. I like to noodle around with a my fuzz pedal cranked up. I love the sound of blues mixed with a big batch of rock.
My current favorite axes are my Fender starcaster (semi hollow-body) and my takamine gn30ce accoustic.
Amp: vox tube amp
Pedals: any product from Greer Amplification out of Athens, GA

Yup I play, not to nearly the level that I'd like, but I play none the less.
Never been in a 'band' per-say but I play every Sun. for the worship team at our Church's 'Alternative' service; Think 'power ballad' style not 'old-timey baptist hymn'. :D
My gear is pretty basic and 'low-rent' compared to some but I enjoy it immensely and it does an awesome job for what little I have invested in it.
I have 3 guitars:
-an Epiphone Les Paul Classic in a red quilt for that Les Paul bite that I love so much (but can't afford a Gibson)

-a Charvell Desolation DS1 single cut in black that I bought as a project and loaded up with Duncan p-ups and all new pots/caps. It's a pretty slick playing guitar for REALLY cheap.

-And my favorite, by far, is my Carvin double cut that I bought as a kit. It's easily the slickest playing guitar I've ever put my hands on. Love it, Love it LOVE it!

-I also have an Ibanez 5string bass I pay as well when the need arises.

Other than that I have a Jet City 20w all tube combo loaded with JJ's for playing at Church and a Blackheart 5w tube head/cab, loaded with I can't remember what-Lol, for home practice. I also use a Digitech RP500 for effects; mostly to get it good and gritty w/o needing 1000db's :D (no, I don't do that wretched chimey, mega delay'd, new-age Christian music thing!)

I really wish i had the time to really devote myself to building my 'chops' but alas, 3 kids and a wife trying to finish a degree keeps WAY too busy to devote the time I need to. Still, I play every week and I enjoy every second of it.
