Yes, Im Stationed in Kapolei and live on Red Hill/AMR.
I got an 05 XB9sx that im working on right now in my garage. In order to get it road legal you need to;
1. Get safety inspection at a motorcycle dealership ($20-$30)
2. Bring paperwork (proof of shipment of bike to Oahu) to DMV and register it.
3. Go back to dealership so they can attach the sticker.
That is supposed to be how it works, but they wouldn't accept my receipt of household goods as proof as shipment to the island, even though it is clearly listed in the inventory. So they want me to go downtown during a workday to get the VIN veriified, even though i have the title in hand.. So i've been riding the last year and a half unregistered.
Hopefully you have better luck
Also the roads SUCK!! damn near broke the triple tree off after hitting a foot deep pothole on the H1.
I tried to get it regist\
