I'm just wondering if there are any buells around with high miles? I especially want to know about the XB12s, but all input is appreciated. Mostly I have been hearing 8000 to 10,000 or less. At my present rate I will have that much in a year. I am hoping the buell will be as reliable as some of the sportsters are. isin't that A reasonable expectation since the engine is pretty much the same? BTW, theres a new bike out there called a Roehr that also has a harley v-twin. It looks like a ducati 999, has 120 hp with 75 ft/lb torque. Most certainly not for the masses at $39,995.00, but still its awesome to see that kind of performance from a v-twin. check it out when you have time at roehrmotorcycles. Go USA!!

I had almost 16,000 miles on my XB9R and I also have a customer that frequents my store with around 11,000 on his 07 XB12R (this guy is reitred and all he does is ride) No real problems due to the mileage, just tires. :)

same here. i have 9,500. i am a person who has a habit of breaking stuff. Seadoos rd paid me to do it for aliving. not that i do it to do it i am just hard on my toy that helps me release stress. but i do take care of my bike. i change the oil every 1500 to 2000 miles just to be on the safe side. I also run syn 3 i swear by syns. we did a test at seadoo with our premixes and i saw first hand what syns can do. i have friends that run mobile syn and also do their own engin work. there engines look great inside. if you have any two strokes like me i use yahamalube R2 syn. love that stuff. i hope i could help. ride like you stole it later.

My 97' M2 has got 20,000 miles on it. Granted, I've had to do some stuff to it. It's got the 99' and newer swing arm, a set of braided steel brake cables, I thunderstormed it at about 10,000(heads, cams, brain box). It is trying its damnedest to vibrate itself apart. I have a pro-series pipe and header on it and it has stress cracked itself apart where the muffler body meets the slip cuff. There are also different spots on it that have rubbed paint/metal off where two pieces touch and rub when the bike is running. That being said, I am utterly and completely in love with it and it'll have to be peeled from my cold, dead, hand![cool]

Hi,

I bought an 09 XT with 8 miles on it! I now have 18,000. Changed rear bearings at 12,000 but mechanic said they looked like new. Also, I cost myself a lot of cash trying to adjust clutch as I broke a small part that was part of primary cover! This was my fault but you should beware when you adjust your clutch. If you pull when there's no play the part will break. Other than that I love this bike and don't ever plan on selling.Buell pic.jpg

I know I don't have the most mileage but my 12X has 54,000 miles and getting ready to take it to Deals Gap this weekend. My 12S has 50,000 miles and still runs strong.
