Any Hockey Players here?

I look forward to the saturday pickup games we have here in Austin. This pickup game has been running for about 10 years now.

One of the guys got some footage of it the other day. And no, it's not slow motion! Just some 3hr iron man hockey. Over the years I've played in leagues, but weekend warrior pickup is always more fun. Too many people playing for team Bud light.

Yep, I play inline on a team. Lots of fun! I suck but getting better. I'll have to have my gf take some pics this Sunday.

played in Highschool, but havent played since... havent strapped on a skate in years either.

played growing us and into college....been a while since I've been on the ice though.
Played roller for a while, but i always felt like it was second rate to ice.....especially in SoCal

i used to play when i was younger but got too expencive but over winter a couple friends and i would have some good old frozen lake hockey

played a lot of inline when i was younger. then in college i started playing on an intramural ice hockey team. ive been on roller blades one time since i started ice hockey and there is no way i can ever go back. the ice is so much faster

Yeah, ice is much faster.

It's really difficult for me to play both ice and roller leagues at the same time. I'll lapse about what I'm skating and try to do an ice move on wheels or vice versa. Doesn't quite work the same.

I play on a couple different teams (ice). It's prolly the only thing I enjoy as my motorcycle.

I play on an old guys league with my step dad (I am 21) we have a great time and have a beer or 2 after the game, so that part is always fun. I have been playing since I was about 8. I love the game, and the ice is SOOO much better than inline.

I ve been playing roller hockey now for close to 4 years and have been playing for the Penn State student ice hockey league this year. Little bit of a difference on the ice, but Im getting my feet under me pretty good. Ive played deck hockey the past two summers as well now. Wish I would have started playing a lot sooner.

I just stopped playing about a week ago because the majority of the guys that I was playing against are convinced that they are going to make it to the SHOW. Everyone wants to fight and slash and think they are doing UFC on ice, just not worth it anymore. Cant risk getting hurt and ruining my career, but I do absolutely LOVE the sport! I played league hockey as a kid then played pickup for about 20 years. Gave it up because of to many hammer heads thinking they were playing for the friggin cup. Way to much slashing and cheap shots going on. Loved playing and sort of miss it now and then though. Wayne
