Have any of you with back problems tried one of the hi-tech beds we see on the tube? Just curious if they are worth the hype?

I have an adjustable air bladder topped with 2 inches of memory foam. It is comfortable but when I get up in the morning, my back is always just a little achy. Recently I spent a couple of days in the hospital with a non back issue. I was amazed at how comfortable the hospital bed mattress was. My back did not ache at all.

I’m seriously thinking about buying a hospital bed mattress and sleeping on it at home.

I'm not sure if this works for chronic back problems, but...
many years ago, my father "slipped a disc " in his back and was in horrible pain, I'd never seen him in such agony. He went to a chiropractor for treatment(it wasn't quick) and eventually he got better. One of the exercises he had to do was to stand as straight as possible, squeeze the cheeks of his ass together, using the muscles in that area, and hold for 10 seconds ,relax for 10 and repeat. It' an exercise you can do anywhere, standing in line, or where ever.
I've used this many times over the years and it does help, try it!

My back is blown out from over 300 static line parachute jumps during my army time. I feel all of your pain. The VA gave me meds that help some, but most days I just have to suck it up.

Spent the day at the St Cloud VA. Have a surgery consult on Thursday. They are going to try to trim the material back, and go another round of intensive physical therapy.

WALLSXB, please keep that issue located in the thread for the seat, that you posted in right before here. I have been very open, proactive with communication, and clear with you regarding my family emergency, and packaging the seat properly. Please dont clutter other threads with this stuff, keep it to PM's, create a dispute thread if you feel the need, or keep it in the forsale thread.

Bad backs run in my family. Three of my sibs have had their backs fused. Mostly 2 or 3 vertibrae involved.
They were in incapacitating pain, curled up in the fetal position alot of the time until the day they said enough and went for the surgery. They are all fine now and 2 out of 3 are pain free. the proceedures done these days by very competent MDs
are state of the art, plus they do alot of them. Hope you better.
