I wouldnt say that I stopped riding my Buell when I got my supermoto but I definitely havent taken it on any short trips. If I am going farther than like a half an hour ride I will take the Buell because the sumo is uncomfortable. But for ripping around town sorry buell ya lose on this one. If it rains sorry buell ya lose again. Supermotos are good for any weather. Best benefit because you arent afraid to ride on days with a good chance of rain
 
For sure there.
I find myself only wanting to ride my XB on sport trips.......not much for commuting or any questionable weather situations.....just pleasure rides.
Wouldn't be like that if I had chose something different like the CB750 (81) or dual sport bikes I was thinking about before I bought my Buell.
 
I love supermotos. It is probably the only thing I would trade my XB for. If someone had a nice supermoto and said they would trade my XB straight up I'd have to say by to her. My CR on the other hand would never get traded.

Nice ride. For my commute a supermoto would be so much fun.
 
Oh there's no way I'm going to get rid of my XB, but this bike does some things a lot better than the XB12. Short trips, commuting, jumping curbs, splitting lanes, and waking up the neighbors.

There's nothing to replace the XB on a day when you want to go ride 200-300 miles of hard twisties.

If I traded my XB to a supermoto that's what my CR would be used for. :D
 
got mine in june. it had a pa street title. I converted it over.

I was just reading through your build thread on supermotojunkie yesterday. I will be putting one up soon for my WR so keep your eyes open haha :D
 
Where did you get the UFO headlight and how much did you pay for it? I love those things but everywhere I have seen them they were an arm and a leg
 
wow...what the heck was he thinking..I have a buell and I have a cr 500 but I dont want my buell in my cr500. Im surprised the frame can hold all that weight under that stress
 
Haha I know. That cr500 motor probley has close to the power of that m2 motor anyways

I miss mine bought a wr250 new decided that didn't have enough power after a year and 45000 dollars in hospital bills so sold it for my cross.. I wouldn't say I kick myself for doing that.... But,,, I would love a ktm sumo. Nice bikes guys

Yep I always wanted a ktm but the cost was just too crazy. thats why I ended up converting my wr450. probably will have close to a newer ktm into it when i am done but it will be all new and definitely custom
