You know you can't just start an MC unless you want to piss off whatever outlaw one percenter club that happens to be on top in your state?

I'm lookin into it mostly just ridin buddies for now. I got a buddy whos gettin a bike here in a couple weeks but theres no too many ppl around here that ride, at least that I know of. I ride with maybe 2 or 3 other buell guys around the area. so im lookin to get more involved.

Do you want to start a MC or RC.

MC - Like BuellRider said, you need to run it by the 1% club in your area. Show up to a couple of their parties, show your interested in the community and take it from there. Even if you go the AMA route, it's a good idea go through them first. "Going through them" doesn't mean you have to anything illegal.

RC (riding clubs) are just that. A group that gets together and go riding.

Yeah exactly what i was gonna say. You can call it anything you want except for an MC without running it by the outlaws in the area.

my bad I meant a RC haha. Just lookin for a good group of guys to get to know and ride with. I hate not having anyone to ride with or just a few guys if im lucky especially goin to bike night and stuff.

I think people watch WAAAYYY too much Sons of Anarchy or whatever. Where to you run into The Outlaws in your area? The grocery store? On the road? At the dealer the only MC hanging out is the Blue Knights, and I don't picture them shivving anyone because they call themselves a motorcycle club.

Motorcycling is about make believe. We make believe we can ride as fast as we want with no consequences, and Harley guys like to make believe they are total badasses with nothing to lose. However, by the time you are buying a $20k motorcycle, you have a real job and responsibilities, both of which are probably what drove that person to the fanasty land of being a "badass".

I'm not saying motorcycle gangs don't exist, but the idea that starting a "MC" on bxb is gonna have the Outlaws looking for you is ridiculous. I could understand if is were along the lines of "I want to start a MC to traffic heroin, is anyone in"

what part of NC, pretty big damn state :) can take 8 hours to ride across it east to west. anyhow working on a relocation through my company to Durham area. let me know would like to find some new buds to ride with.

LOL, I do agree. I saw a dufus at a motorcycle show with a SOA vest. He was an older guy, so maybe nobody gave him any shit about it.

On the other hand, 3-patch MCs take the club thing very seriously. I see them around frequently where I live. These dudes are real-live badasses, and you really, really don't want to cross them.

Yeah.. the Pagans I've see at tattoo conventions and punk shows in baltimore don't look so make believe.

I've seen some MCs that take stuff way too far and it's a little ridiculous if you ask me but hey whatever floats there little pontoon haha. Well as of right now I'm just looking to meet up with some people and ride with some good riders that are down for puttin on some miles and maybe rollin out to bike nights like what they have at the hooters down here. I hate being the only buell there even tho its cool to have alot of people check your bike out cuz they don't see them very often and they aren't sure what the hell it actually is lol. if anyone is interested hit me up. I won't be able to ride very much at the moment got injured on a jump but once I'm healed up I'm gona be back on the bike.

Afinely first I've bever watched sons of anarchy ever. And I deal with outlaws on a weekly basis considering my dad associates with those people. Secondly, get your Harley prices right. Most harleys are below 20 grand. Only ones that make it over that are CVOs. All im saying is that if 1 percenter club finds out yohr calling yourself an mc they WILL find you because by not running it by them in their eyes its extremely disrespectful.

were on buells we dont count same with the jap bikes.and only about 1% of 1% bikers will do what it takes to earn that 1% patch or the ff patch depending on club.if someone is really worried leave the bottom rocker off.any way good luck on your r/c.

Riding Club or Motorcycle Club? Here's the 'Rules': Subject link

Interesting a group is so structured, when its identity is based on being distinct from establishment.
