I just bought a house and it has a very nice garage. I want to be able to work on my cr without bending over for everything.. has anyone used one of these harbor freight lifts or do you own one.. what are your thoughts. They are at 300 with the coupon which is no bad imo..

I've been thinking of picking one up. Would be nice to see one in person or hear from a few that have used them

When I was buying my floor jack from Harbor Freight I looked at it. It looks like a decent lift. Looked more sturdy than I thought it looked like from seeing the pics they have on their advertisements (like the pic you posted). It looks pretty well built and says it can lift 1,000lbs. It'll probably work well for you.

Yea they don't look too bad.. I think I'll get one when I get to move into the house.. can't wait

I have one. I ditched the wheel clamp and stop on the front and installed a Cyclegear wheel chock. Its not too bad for the money. Nice not having to bend over or lay on the floor to do something. When it is all the way up, it seems a little shaky but once you slide the safety bar (black bar in the stock photos) in and drop it down a bit on it, it makes it very solid. I had to add oil to the hyd. jack about a week after getting it but other than that, no problems.

No pic of it but- it's wide enough to put the rear stand under it and lift the rear wheel. This makes it even that much more stable and no need to strap it down.

I don't suggest lifting the stand with the ramp hanging off of it like the picture, very heavy and would do some damage if it fell.

From the picture the wheel clamp doesn't look too promising.. I think I will get a regular wheel chock and then strap it down as well.. thanks for the input guys

netty2424 has one also.
you are correct kind sir!

And you are also correct! I don't use mine, I also strapped a chock to it. Works perfect.

Here is an older pic fully lifted before some recent mods:
