Anyone know exactly the 2010/ebr ecm cooling fan #s?

Yes. Ok let me clarify a little. For speed based fan control you would need your ECM flashed to BUE1D EEPROM or newer. 2008 bikes can probably do it. Some 2009 models may already have the newer EEPROM and 2010 have it. If you are older then 2008 then you can only control based on temp. You can change the temps if you want to but you can't get the speed control.

Awesome info!

I know my 09 is a BUEZD flash

So now we'll have to track down dealers that can re-flash (difficult here since they claim not to even have simple things like spark plugs for Buells[mad] )

Or find an 08/ 09 that has had the updated flash for us to grab

Im going to start a thread looking for those files so we have a higher chance finding them

Seeing I have an 05 and can't do the speed based fan settings, anyone have thoughts(for or against) adjusting the temps only?

I changed mine. I would lower the temps a bit, shorten the key off run time, and leave the voltage alone. Fan may run more but is that a bad thing? Besides wearing out faster? I like cool!

Running open loop at idle a little richer makes a huge difference with temps! Along with rss another good mod.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't mind the fan running at all as long as it's doing it's job.

I plan to get a wideband O2 at some point to do some tuning. One of these days.... lol

Hi, I have a 08 XB12S, i just recently upgraded my exhaust and had EBR ECM swapped. i do notice the different cooling programs and in fact, i would prefer to have the fan running for a bit after the bike stops. is there anyway i can program the stock ECM to get this result or can i program the EBR ECM?

P.S. i bought the cable but don't have any program, i was told there is no free software for 08+ ECM :(

Ecmdroid along w/ a bluetooth module can access the EBR ecm... It likely cant alter it though.

You could in theory copy the EBR ecm info w/ ecm droid and then apply it to your stock ecm. Then w/ ecm droid set it to run after shut off aswell.

Can i use the cable with ECMdroid? and r u saying the EBR ECM is not programmable? but the stock one is?

The EBR ecu is only programable with the EBR software.

Not sure if you can connect a cable to your phone or tablet to run ecm droid. It may be set up to run by bluetooth only.

Is it too much trouble to write in english?

If you're interested in sharing info on this forum that would be your best bet.

Maybe ecmspy can do it now. Previously it would brick your ecm. Id wait to hear from someone that has successfully done it before messing with a $300 ecm.

I can read EBR file and save it on my phone. But, I didnt try to alter it as previously they were locked and didnt want to risk wrecking it.

Here is stock information. I will get the EBR info from Sext9. All temps are converted from C to F. Stock programming is done in metric.

My stock bike......

65 302 65 140

The data for both ECM's was sent over with a link.

Everyone else. Give me a bit with Tuner Pro and I'll upload the link to those files.

My bike is a 2010 Buell XB12S with a race kit installed. Both the stock and the EBR ECM read as a BUE2D242. They are both in these files so you can compare them.

Here's the link to the text files I provided lawdog:

I spent all morning jacking around with TunerPro RT. I didn't have it setup on this machine and I forgot how to use it. So it was a relearn for me.

Here's the BIN files TunerPro RT spit out:

Sorry if I didn't get what you're looking for. My bike runs pretty damn good. So I haven't been troubleshooting the ECM. If there's something else you need let me know.

Nice sharing, thanks.

Might have to load all my Buell stuff to share like that, what site do you use?

You can program an EBR ecm just like the stock. I do not know if Ecmspy or Tunerpro can as I use my own but it is certainly possible. Tomorrow morning I will take a look at the EBR eeprom and let you know what I find.
