I just ordered one because I like the look of them and they seem to be a reputable company. I just couldn't find a lot of info on this damper, like is it adjustable? And if anyone is running one, how do you like it?

No one has any info on this steering damper? Oh well, I guess I'll find out for myself in a couple of days.

I have ordered one that will be here today (8/12/08). But after seeing the new GPR one I may trade out. I heard that it was spec'd like the Ohlin and I like that it is not sticking out on the side of the bike. I will let you know what i think

Cool, let me know what you think. I do like the way they tucked the LSL up under the lower triple. It seems to fit the style of the bike

I got it yesturday and have not put it on yet but it looks to be very well made. and it is adjustable. I really like the way it looks and fits the bike. Was thinking about going with the GPR but I'M glad i got this one.

OK, I got mine at lunch time today and put it on when I got home from work. It looks awesome.
Took it out for a ride, started on the lightest setting of course. It didn't feel any different so I turned it 2 clicks toward hard, rode a little and when I went into the first turn that I came up on, the bike felt really solid/stable. Finished out the rest of my ride with the same result. I love it. And that's with my old crappy, worn out Dunlop tires.
Now. I did pull a wheelie and set it down a little too hard. This steering damper does contact the fender like they say it will. The back of my fender actually got stuck on the damper. This held my front suspension down and held the front of my fender on the tire. Melted the front of my fender a little(can't tell, mostly inside). I had to pull over and get that freed up. Then no more wheelies for today.
I am not going to move the fork tubes down as they suggest. I don't want to effect the quick handling of the bike. I think instead, I'm going to trim an inch or so off the rear of my fender. That should solve this problem.
I'm still glad I went with this one. It looks even better in person. You'll see once you get yours on, firechicken.

Ya I just keep playing with mine. All my parts should be in today, then i can finish putting my bike bike together. I am going crazy not being able to ride.

06xb9r/Firechickenxb9r,

Common guys, share this information regarding the suppliers contact details [web of email pls] /cost with us, we in SA do not have any of these suppliers and I have wanted to get a damper for my 12ss because my handlebars are cut quite narrow

Well, steering dampers makes the most sense in the world at the XB/s. It is aggressive in angle/rake and quite nervous as original. The steering damper help alot. Especially for those who like to go fast.

To adress a new change, try the Free Spirit trail kit (you get 23degrees instead of 21) + a new new rear shock with height adjustment. When you lift the tail with a aftermarket shocks adjustment, you turn back, towards a more aggressive angle again (like 22-22.5 degree's). What is plus here is that you get more weight at the front wheel. So, you end up with a quick bike that also tends to keep the wheel better at ground while accelerating or going plain fast. That is really awesome (still use a steering damper).

Hey can anybody help me ive got the 12s and everytime i put the left turn signal on it blows a fuse but otherwise its an awsome bike.

Im from S A im visiting family in NC and I ordered the Jardine tit exhaust and race ecm and filter is this a good choice cause I love noise. parts for buells are very xpensive in SA
