I still have my 03 XB, and just for kicks, was gonna take it to a Track day this year. Was wondering if anyone else still races an XB. And if so, what type of mods, tires, Case Cover, Engine guard parts they are using.

I ran my xb9r on the track a couple of years ago and immediately made a decision to grab an sv650 for many reasons. Didn't wanna trash my Buell and personally i didn't really like the Buell on track, power came on very choppy to me and believe me I wasn't chopping at the throttle, the short wheelbase made for not so fun mid corner corrections, with that I mean.....pick your line and you better be committed to it and that's that! Like I said I didn't trash my beloved Buell and the sv took the brutal beatings I handed it track day after track day. Have since moved to an RC51. Good luck if you decide to do a track day w her and stay safe

Everytime I ride it I race it lol! In other news getting on flight from Phoenix to Atlanta, going to the playoff game to see my Falcons.... Rise up....I got lucky have field and locker room access...

Good luck. .....we won't have the12th man advantage or the entire legion of boom. But Seahawks always bring it.

If you can only have one bike (like me), the Firebolt is a good do it all for track days and street riding. When storage space allows, I'll sell mine and buy a proper track bike and a better street bike. The best mods I've done to mine are frame/tank grips and good tires. I went with HammerGrips and Dunlop Q3s and am very pleased. I'm a slower intermediate group rider, for reference. Towards the faster end of intermediate or advanced group, Q3 might not be enough tire. For my pace it's sticky and predictable.

curious how you pulled all that off considering the fact it wasn't all that long ago you were on here begging for $ to move your family from one state to another with your endless gofundme.com postings......followed months later by more poor-mouth posts when your wife's underwear was stolen from the local laundromat. nice turn of events.

Don't know why the thread was jack by pics of Falcons game. This is not Facebook!!!!! It is BUELL FORUM!!!!!! And I see where John is coming from, you probably should of kept the pics to yourself. just my 2 cents.

Wasnt trying to jack your thread, made a comment and got responses. To others sorry, that I was under the impression you could talk about whatever you wanted here. Guess it wasn't what some wanted to talk about. Any ways live and learn.

I do Track Days only, 3 seasons on this bike average 10 per year. I run a bone stock bike with EBC's in the front. I haven't had one single problem with this Buell. All I do is check a few things for tightness and change the oil once a year.

even though they stopped production I'm still going to buy a new 1190 for track duty
