I build a lot of evo engines and the way harley designs the heads, you can increase your torque and help exhaust scavaging by adding torque cones to your exhaust flanges. Anyone have any experience with the xb9r? I think I may try it out since I have engine down for repairs.

It seems like some of the HD factory SE bikes have torque cones, but not sure. It could be the TC88's.

There was a couple people interested in running straight pipes. I wonder what kind of back pressure could be created with the rigt cone to gain a similar effect to having a muffler.

I used torque cones on a Harley I had. I didn't notice any difference.

Could just be me though.

I think if you want to run straight pipes you'll just have to deal with the loss of power.

I use them on my harley too IO think they help with my drag pipes. I would like to use them on my buell to see if it runs a little better with my jardine.

Bump!! anyone still interested?

what size would you need for an xb9?

Where exactly do those go? I'm not really following. Do they go in the end of the header right where it bolts up to the motor?

well cagiva puts them on there bikes, on the mito a 125cc 2-stroke bike will run 75-80 stock, pull that out of the pipe and it run 110mph. i dont know about new buells as much but a pipe with a reverse cone on the end of a megaphone pipe works good. it adds jus that bit of back pressure
