Anyone want to trade my lightning front end for your firebolt front end? I was pricing everything out to buy new and it is costly. I just want a fairing these days. Mine is midnight black, but I'll work with whoever wants to trade. Thanks

pricey? ...that depends where you're looking for parts, this was about two years ago when I did the "S to R" conversion

I came up with about $700 plus triple tree and bars. I think a trade may be better, if I find someone.

if you find someone, may I suggest maybe asking who's got parts on hand that may give you a good deal, had about seven or so forum members help me out with parts and kept my Lightning parts, good thing I did cause the conversion lasted about a month 'til it was converted back. check out my thread on the headlight harness at least so you don't hack up the wire harness and make it plug 'n play instead...here

I would be okay with purchasing each piece also for a good deal, I just thought there might be someone wanting to convert to a lightning as that seems to be a more popular route.

People want S tails & R fronts, rest of the stuff is hit or miss.

I've got that stuff, might sell some but I'm planning to convert another 08+ 9r in near future

Has anyone thought about putting a 1125r fairing on a S or SX? May be cheaper and easier. I think it would look cool without the side scoops.

I thought about the 1125r and I think it might look too wide and short without the pods. It would be interesting.

Yes there was a guy near WI who worked for buell or knew some guys & had a leftover 1125R front mounted to 9sx, looked cool. I saw it on C list early this year. If you see something cool, ask. Usually they like to talk about it IF they built it.

Thanks everyone. I just decided to buy the parts and some ultra low renthal bars and then I will probably sell the lightning stuff. I spent about $650 total. Man that magnesium bracket is expensive! I'll post pics when it is done.
