What would be a good price to ask for an 04 XB9R with 6500 miles on it? It is mostly stock except for a black double bubble windscreen and lowered footpegs. Unfortunately times are tough and my daughter needs a car. Any info is greatly appreciated!

I would say, ~$4,500. Possibly get more, very likely to get more but you never know how cheap people are these days.

Reality is the bike is worth very little right now as you can buy new ones for very little.

I would price it at $3800, but expect somewhere around $3000.

Another member just picked up a newer bike with less miles for $3000 out the door from a dealer.

I would say xtremelows quote is way too low. I would ask $4500 and settle no lower than $4k.

bought my 04 with 700 miles on it 7 months ago. Paid 5100. I would say go $4500 as Kyle said. You might have to take less though. All depends on how long you will be looking for the right buyer.

I would second dave on this. These below normal prices for our bikes are merely a temporary effect from the liquidations. As supply of these underpriced bikes falls, (which it is, and rapidly at that), the price of our bikes will rise to reflect a more normal market value.

IMHO, unless you are in a serious need of cash, I would list it at a fair normal market price and wait for it to sell. It should not take too much time for prices to recover, or at least thats what I am guessing! Although I am a bit more of a neoclassical economist than most..

I just bought a mint 04 1200R for 4k with 5k miles and so have a few other guys on here. I would say 3k is what it would be likely to sell for now. If you can wait I would. Get her a little 96 honda civic. Safe Reliable and super easy and cheap to fix anything. Cost you a couple grand and you keep your bike.

I just bought an 09 for $6388 on E-bay. Only 4000 miles.
Don't ever let a girl come between you and your Buell.

My friend just bought an 09 XB12Ss with 94 (yes 94) miles for only $5500. Believe it or not it was actually "used"[confused] It still had the big white "stop" sticker on the airbox from the factory. I guess the guy who traded it in wanted a trike...[confused][confused][confused] I think it may have been one of those Can-Am deals but still...Why would you buy a Buell when you REALLY wanted THAT?!?!? To each his own I guess???

At any rate, it's unbelievable when you can get an 09 for so cheap. I payed $4700 for my 04 XB12S back in April with just under 4k on it.

Its a good picture. Really rich colors. It looks hot. Most people post dry faded pics when its the red and amber. Not sure why.
