i have a quick question to anyone that has the shorty levers. i finally got my bike back together and put my new shorty levers on, adjusted the clutch etc. now when i go to pull the clutch in i feel like there is too much resistance on the cable and its really hard to pull in. i tried adjusting the clutch again, not any better. is it just me or are other people having the same issue? i know i wont have as much leverage as the long levers but the way it is right now sucks.

Replaced mine with Pazzo shorties and noticed it needed a little more force to pull back - but nothing to the extent you described. Might try a new clutch ramp, $40 and easy to do: Clutchlite w/Install

steven, you seem to reply to a lot of my posts, are you forum stalking me?????

thanks for the info, does that do the same thing as the free spirit clutch ramp?

I would try to loosen the clutch ramp assem. bolt a 1/4 turn to see if you get the easier pull you want. Free and quick fix that wont have a down side, since you are just allowing the ramp assem. to rotate a little on it own.

I had to do the reverse when I installed my shorty levers as there was to little resistance so I tightened the nut a bit, and problem solved. Note if you loosen it to much you wont get the clutch to engage and if it is to tight the clutch will be engaged on it own.

thanks steven and extreme, i will try loosening it first and then adjusting the tension and see where i get. or i will just have to do some "hand exercises" every night to build up my hand muscles.
