back fire

so im having backfire on my xb12r. sorry to bug you guys again, but its buging me. i just put the drummer on, now on Dcell it pops. my bikes an 2008. i thought it would learn with a new pipe. any advice people? the pops arnt real loud but imsure its not good

Have you done a long "proper" ride-in, as in 15mins.+ keeping the throttle at 3200 RPM? If so, you could do the breather re-route and help the popping you're experiencing.

Breather re-route as mentioned above. The thread is extensive, including a recommended parts list and lots of pretty pictures, I advise at least skimming the whole thing before you begin. Also, some of the pics will give you a general idea of where some of us have put our filters, so you can decide where to put yours.

thanks steven and fido. this might just be what ill have to do? do have a rough est of how much cash this took you, and time doing it?

Cash for breather re-route: around $15

Time: under 30 mins.

You'll spend most of the time deciding how to route hoses than anything. Very easy and worth the work.
