My D&D was on the bike when I bought it so I cant make a comparison to stock. Originally I was looking to trade this pipe because its so loud at cruising speed. But after hearing someone else ride my bike...Ive decided to keep it and invest in some ear plugs
Its not annoying loud by any means..not "drag pipe" loud. But at a constant 3k RPMS or more on the highway ...the exhaust is rather much. Random thought here.....Could sound louder to me possibly because the exhaust exit on the Buell is right underneath and not behind?

Me and most of the guys around here ride with ear plugs anyway. Not just for the exhuast sound, but more for the air sound which is actually worse.

I noticed a few guys standing near my bike, and when I was ready to leave, I put the key in and they mobbed me with questions and complements...I loved it!

check these out for headphones. this is what i wear under my helmet and they work great, they dont cancel but cut down on noise which is perfect for riding a bike with loud exhaust. Btw i have the D&D on my bike.

I bought my 04XB12R simply based on the torque and sound it made with that D&D exhaust.

With that said, my D&D Exhaust broke a few months ago, I shot an e-mail off to D&D in Texas and long story short - they sent me a brand spanking new exhaust in exchange for my old one, no questions asked!

During the wait, I put the stock exhaust back on, what a shame that the Buell was shipped with such a wimpy little exhaust. It sounded like a spree!

I got my D&D exhaust back in the mail and installed it, it sounds better than ever!!!

Very impressed with the exhaust, VERY impressed with their customer service too....
