Looking for a new back pack. Looking for something that is big enuff to hold clothes to go for a day or two. I travel pretty light and stay at places that cater to biker needs so, don't haul a ton of stuff. I only want to use a backpack, not tank or saddle bags. Found a ton that will hold a laptop, but are ussually very thin and wouldn't hold much.

Anyone got something they like?

I have a Kelty that I have had for about 12 years now and its still holding up strong. Its a day pack for hiking but its good for the bike too because it can hold a decent amount and it has internal back splinter to make it more comfortable. Also it has a spot for a camel back which is always a win on the bike too. I think the redwing series is the updated version of what I have. Can't go wrong with a pack that lasts for 12 years too, and I've beat the heck out of it.

I have a joe rocket pack that has a ton of room. it has a helmet compartment so I just put my computer in the main and everything else in the helmet with plenty of room to spare.

I use a cheap Walmart Eastsport backpack used for hiking......it has nice padded shoulder straps and back pad. When pulled tight against my back I cant feel any added drag at highway speeds. It holds 2-3 days worth of clothes,a pair of shoes, and a laptop w/a 17.5 in screen.

I use the Buell slingbag. It works perfect for light packing. They are hard to find anymore though.

I got mine a Target. It holds a lot of stuff. I use it every night for work. Carry my lunch box, laptop, extra sweatshirt, and raingear. It's a Ful. It's just not water proof.

I prefer the back packs with a snap and strap that goes between the two shoulder straps. It links them together and keeps them from spreading and falling off your shoulders. It's a pain to ride and have that feeling like your loosing a strap off your shoulder.

OGIO No Drag....... Holds a ton of stuff, looks great, built perfect, and like the name it has no drag what so ever. Just used it the other day for a long ride and even at 120mph I couldn't tell it was there.

If you are willing to spend 100 plus, then the above choices are great. I decided to be cheap and actually have to backpacks that I swap in and out.

One is a Burton (that i use while snowboarding as well,) and the other is an Element backpack. Both have straps to secure around your torso, carry a laptop, and support a hydration system. I paid $30 for the Burton at Dick's Sporting Goods and $15 for the element at Pac-Sun. Neither have a helmet holding system if you are looking for that feature though.

+1 on the Ogio No Drag, really happy with mine. Holds a lot, fits well, and has a removable orange reflector for when I need to ride on base.

ICON SQUAD II MIL SPEC:
Love this backpack. I would have designed some things different but overall i haven't found one i like better. I get quite a bit of compliments too.

note:I removed the arm reflectors which are included.

PROS:
-Looks cool
-Waterproof
-strong buckles and clamps.
-pouches are in convenient spots. (cell phone on the chest)
-doesn't move around on your back during aggressive riding
-capable of holding large items with the out side straps.

CONS:
-velcro card holders on the shoulder. Hit 90 mph and one off, holding my credit card and License
-my icon helmet (size xL) wont fit easily in the helmet pouch.
-wish it had hip straps cause heavy loads start to weigh on the shoulders.
-rubber bottom is starting to scratch my rear seat cowl when i sit upright.

I have a swissgear maxxum notebook backpack. I have had it for a year now and love it like the day I got it. Its durable and is padded very well.

+3 on Ogio
have the 'less drag' version as to not be like everyone else..
:D
for longer rips I rock an older Jack Wolfskin 'download'...holds tons o stuff
:)
