So, I parked my bike for 4 hours and came back to it, I turned the on and the gas pump primed and the lights came on and my dash and everything did what it should, but when I pressed the ignition button, it clicked and the whole bike died, I did that twice and then tried one more time, the bike spun over twice and started..I started it in diagnoses mode and it got a constant 13-14 volts.

ANyway, I let the bike sit for another four hours and checked the battery volts in diagnoses mode and it had 11.4 volts.

I don't think the stator is the issue considering the fact that the battery reads a 13-14 volts while running, but when I press the button to start it , the dash'll go black..pause then VROOm it starts.

So does anyone else here think the same, bad battery? How many wolts should a good battery hold while not running?

So it is a bad battery...?

I just checked the battery again, and in diagnoses mode, the bike read a 11.7 volts and when the bike started it ran all the way up to 14 volts...

Is this correct?

Id suspect battery thats a low voltage for sure. But possibly a connection issue, a ground cable maybe. I installed an 8 gauge high current wire on the lower dog bone mount closest to the starter, and has cranked with fiercness ever since.

Well, it's akward now because the battery just read a solid 12.3 volts, how do I install this ground wire? do I just make it out of 8gauge wire and run it to a grounded bolt on the frame?

It reads 12.3 volts in park mode but when it's in "on mode" it reads a 11.6-11.8 volts, which should I go off of?

Off. No load. If its 12.3v off id say good-ish, without measuring cold cranking amps cant be sure. On the inside of the frame by your right side peg there is an engine mount (dog bone). The bolts are 7/16" installed the wire between the bolts. I used pronged connectors so loosening the bolts were enough for installing vs removing them.

Also, when I started the bike from it being completely dead, the clock was off, which leads me to believe that the battery was unable to keep connection and the volts got too low, could this also be the battery not holding an adequate charge?

Sounds like a complete loss of connection between power/ground somewhere check for loose bolts every week and before long rides.

Lol, I am an idiot, the terminal bolts weren't fully tightened down...the battery reads a good 12.4-12.6 volts...

rofl...I checked my fuses too all were intact, DID you know that if you disconnect your fan fuse that it throws both your fans error code, lawl.
