Hey guys,

I just finished a ride from Sarasota, FL to Austin, TX and at the end of my trip I noticed the rear wheel bearings were on their way out. The "Cowboy" HD here in Austin want to charge me $43/wheel bearing and an hour and a half labor annnnnnd itll take 5-7 business days to get here. If I were home I could knock this out in 30minutes at my shop, but im at their mercy. I can have a new set of bearings overnighted to me for $5/ea, however I need the dimensions/bearing number, and Id be willing to take the bike elsewhere but it has to be close to the HD stealership. Im looking for any information that can help expedite this, as I leave for FL next Tuesday. Thanks all.

I am posting this up on our local facebook page. Hopefully one of us locals can hook you up.

These guys are just across I35. Shop doesnt look like much but top notch tech's, good friends of mine. Give them a call and ask for Tom.

i just installed a set of front all balls racing bearings, like 15 shipped on ebay! super fast shipping too

Damn !!! ... ANOTHER failed wheel bearing post ??!! ... shit!!! :( ... screw waitin for mine to go out ... I'm ordering some tomorrow and doing them this week ...

For reference - the All Balls part #'s:
Front: 25-1351 (Amazon Link)
Rear (2 bearing): 25-1627 (Amazon Link)

They're cheap on Amazon right now - about $30 for both. Amazon says they don't fit my Ulysses, but their "fit" indicator hasn't been correct on a lot of things, and these are the part #'s from All Balls.

I'm going to order 2 sets. I have a set of "new-to-me wheels" for the Ulysses but I don't know if the bearings are good, so for $30 I'll just change them out now. And then I'll have a spare set for the other Uly or Bolt wheels if they should show signs of failure.

can also get timkin 1" tapered roller axle bearings from auto zone. Don't have the PN off hand but can get it if you still need it. They just don't have the seals, but will work in a pinch until you can get the seals.

I use my local Yamaha dealer to supply and fit my tyres. Took my Buell wheels in recently for their first replacements and they both needed new bearings. The dealer had them on the shelf - these things are standard across the bike industry it seems! They charged me 1/3rd of an hour to do each wheel.
