I'm about to buy my bar end mirrors off of ebay. I see 2 different listings and there is a $20 difference in price. Are these practically the same thing or should I go with the CRG? Also, do I need the bar end adapter? I have a 2007 XB9SX btw.

Cheaper price ebay id: 310059794726

CRG Brand ebay id: 290238709878

both can be good...it doesn't have to be expensive for it to work good.
i think even some riders here have bicycle mirrors for less than 10$ and are happy with them.

options are listed in this post: click

most comfortable is with weights that still enable you to fit the mirror.

are you buying mirrors for both ends?

from what i read, the cheaper ones have the adapter included, whilst the crg ones don't.

my choice? i would go with the cheap ones. the crg has 2 extra options: tinted mirror glass and the fold in.
both of these are not used that much and you would have to buy the internal adapters seperatly.

Thanks LeFox. I went ahead and just ordered the cheaper ones. They seem to be pretty close to the CRG quality and I don't have to buy the $20 adapter.

I want bar end mirrors as well...but the only problem I see is bringing my bike inside. I don't have a garage and I refuse to leave it outside so i simply drive it in my basement via my door. Any wider then stock and it won't fit thru a normal outside door.

than you would have to get the crg, because the fold in. which is only a small difference compared to stock.

There is a set on ebay called Lanesplitters that also fold in and are about $49.Look under Buell parts.

My local ACE hardware had little plastic plugs that fit perfect. They were super cheap and look good.

BTW - I bought Oberon's and they are stupid exspensive but worth every penny to me. They look like a piece of aluminum art. God help me if it ever falls over and takes one out though.

You can order these mirror hole plugs from a Harley dealership. Pt.# N0001.B - around $.30/each

Hey that's my thread lol, just thought I'd pop in and say that I still have those mirrors and have had absolutely no problems out of them. Vibration is non-existent, also I sent the ebay guy my bike pics after I had installed the mirrors and for a while he used them on his auctions for the mirros. Easy install, great buy. Also there is not a hole in the end due to the design, just something to think about.

Of course, that's the best one ;) I saw your pics when I was checking out my mirrors.. I called them back to purchase a single extra mirror, after that moron hit my bike and one of them broke. they were great on the phone too, and the replacement wasn't even $20

Um yeah, I don't think so.

Hey Boney, from comparing internet reviews for the CRG's and my experience with the 'cheaper' mirrors. I do think so. Of course without a side by side comparison it is impossible to ever truly know. But I haven't had any issues out of mine and the only issues I've even heard of were due to not properly tightening the bolt when installing them or other operator error. But I understand that with a name brand and higher price tag there comes a certain air of superiority/peace of mind. Not trying to bash you because I'm guilty of it as well. My Bullhead Jeans are way better than any old wal-mart brand. Or even Levi's for that matter. Of course the price tag should reflect that...

But hey man, whatever works for you, go with it. Most of us do.

FIDOSOL, I've also heard of the mirrors themselves popping out. No, what ever one prefers. I myself choose the best, or I make myself believe it's the best. I guess it's my personality. I always have to buy brand name. If that's a good thing or bad, I don't know.

As long as it works for you it's all good am I right? I'm the same way in some areas, and not so much in others. The mirrors I got were a steal and if I have any problems then I have an excuse to upgrade. Keep in mind I have to justify pricey items for my girlfriend (07' XB9SX) to my wife...
