bar-end rear view mirrors

I wasn't happy with the rubber anchors or the expanding metal style. I bought a cheap set at cycle gear and welded SS nuts into the ends of the bars so I could actually thread them in and have them be solid mounted. It was a little more work but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I'm in the wrong line of work. I need to order something from China, brand it as Moto Pistola la Liga Europa, and sell it at 300% profit.

Well the metal expanding inserts work better than the rubber ones. But even when I tightened the heck out of them when I'd adjust the mirror it would wiggle at the mounting point. By welding the nuts I have really solid mirrors, no movement other than at the actual mirror pivot point for adjustment. Wind doesn't move them anymore either. I don't ever plan to remove the bar end mirrors as I love the look and IMO you get better visibility, but if I did the nuts could have a black bolt threaded in to hide the nuts. Or just leave them open.

Whatever you're happy with, just sharing my experience with the different mounting options. I'm picky though.

If you weld in nuts, or install nut-serts you can use screw on chair feet. There's lots of choices, still protect the bar ends, and they're cheap!

Nice so they hold pretty stable?

I thought of one drawback to my welded nut mirror attachments....I can't install in bar heaters!!!!! I might just drill a hole in the bars under the grips anyway, don't think it'll ruin the structural integrity too much...lol
