I ordered a set of moto-deluxe bar end mirrors on ebay a few days ago. They should be here any day now, but I was wondering how you get the black plastic bar end cap out of the handle bars without breaking it? Does it just unscrew somehow? thanks in advance

It just pulls out, wrap a rag around it and then yank on it with a pair of pliers. If you don't care about the plastic pieces then just yank them out without the rag. The rag might not stop the pliers from leaving bite marks in the plastic bar end. Lemme know if you need anymore help.

Thanks FIDOSOL. With your bar end mirrors did you use the internal clamp, or did you clamp it to the bar end and move the controls inward?

Internal clamp and I've had no problems at all. Maybe Odin will chime in he just added a set of moto-delux mirrors to his bike and he used the internal clamps as well.

I installed a set of the moto deluxe's also and used the adapter, great mirrors! You might consider taking a sharp punch and putting a few dimples on the inner cone that the adapter center bolt screws into. I did mine as I had a hard time getting them tight enough to keep the adapter from moving inside the bars.

Yeah the end caps come off with a set of pliers in 5 seconds. i didn't bother wrapping cause i didn't care if i messed them up or not. on mine, they wouldn't tighten up enough from the sleeve/collar going into the handlebar ends, so I just took a piece of foam/rubber tape and wrapped around the sleeve first before insertion. after that it stayed, and tightened up just fine. Hope you like them. I know I do!!

Rep point for the rubber/foam idea, I was going to but I just kept cranking down on it and now they don't move at all, good stuff.
