[mad]Instead of re writing the story im just gonna copy paste the email i sent Barker. Just looking for opinions on weather or not they should replace it or how i can go about getting another cheap.

I have a Buell 1125 w/ Barker exhaust and the matching ebr ecm.

I love the exhaust and have had it installed for about 1500 miles. I got back from a 50 or so mile ride and my tip cap was gone and the packing and screen tube were hanging half way out. Only being held in by the rear tire which the screen tube worn a gash through the wire on. Almost a new tire. the holes in the exhaust body are all ripped out. I assume the vibrations rattled them right through the body. So I'm already out 200 bucks for a new tire and right now have a empty tipless can for an exhaust. I'm really hoping the exhaust is something you'd warranty and send a new one. Because this is really upsetting and im otherwise more than pleased with my exhaust. I'd gladly send the old one back to you in the box a new one came in if need be. Right now is urgency im concerned about. Its the tail end of the riding season and i cant really ride. Please get back to me soon. Hope to hear from you.

Did you buy it directly from Barker, or a Barker distributor? Is there a warranty on it?

Either way, with that few miles, they should do the right thing and resolve the issue.

Good luck.

bought the bike with the exhaust installed i dont know if there is or is not a warranty at all.
I'm not positive but the previous owner bought the exhaust either straight from barker or from EBR but agreed im hoping for just a good faith gesture. I love the exhaust

If they dont warranty it i probably will but i want thr rt-4 and well im lower enlisted in the army. I broke the bank just buying the bike of my dreams. I seriously dont have 800 to pitch for an exhaust. Unless the wife is ok with walking to work and not eating for the next two months.........

She will be ok. Do it. :D

Let us know what happens. Did you send pictures to them? Most likely they will want the pipe first before they do anything.

Dean- PM sent

I did send pics havent heard anything back yet. Dont have time right now but ill try to get the pics to you guys as well. But if youve ever seen a wallowed out rivet, just picture 8 of them lol

As i submited my last post they called

Its been more than a year since the exhaust was purchased so theres nothing they can do. says mike at Barker.
Definatly lost a lot of respect for Barker as a company now. Now i dont know what to do. Its 150 bucks for a new can. But a part of me wants to ditch Barker because of the poor support.

Replied I can tell already i'll be happier with a Keda pipe.

The question i have now is How well will say the rt-4 perform on a ebr ecm tuned for the barker. Atleast untill this winter when i can send the ecm back for a keda tune.

Do you have the stock pipe still? If nothing else, at least you'd be able to make the ride next week.

I don't know what the map looks like on the barker, but I'd imagine it would be close enough to run it. It certainly won't be perfect though.

+1 on having a stocker that i would love to part with. don't know where you live for shipping and loki spoke up first

stocker isnt worth the investment for me thanks though guys

Does anyone see a problem with welding a tip cap on my barker can. ugly and probably cheap packing. But will it work for a month/500max miles while i wait on the rt-4
