Hi all .
I just purchased a 02 Buell Blast.
I first thought I had an old battery, but now with a new battery,a few days later
the bike will not start. Can anyone give me some input pls.

fully charge your battery with a quality charger....NOT a tender....a charger. then do this:
1-remove negative cable from negative terminal
2-using a quality multi-meter place the setting on DC AMPS....NOT VOLTS....AMPS.
3-place mete inline between negative terminal and cable.
4-ignition key off. now read meter. if you see a reading of anything over approx. 80 milliamps you have a parasitic draw as mentioned above. trace it to the culprit.

More multimeter tests to be done:

With bike running, measure voltage at idle across the battery terminals and see if it slowly drops over time. It shouldn't. Then keep the motor revved, and measure again. It should read above 13 volts when revved.

If either of the above tests fail, it is likely your stator, voltage regulator, both, or a parasitic draw as the poster above mentions.

There are more multimeter tests to determine whether it's the stator or the voltage regulator, which you can find in the service/shop manual (free, just search for it).
