I have had my battery tested, and it is good. I disconnected the negative while it was running and it shut off showing that I have a charging system problem. Any easy ways to check the Voltage Regulator and the Stator without the ammeter?

Not necessarily. Our bikes need a full charge and tight connection. A lot of newer cars and bikes don't work like the past when we could disconnect a running vehicle a if it ran we could point to battery, if it died we would say charging system. My bike does the same thing because the vibration loosens my positive contact. With my new pipe it does it even more so. I needed a lock washer to solve the problem.

I suggest just buying a multimeter you can pick up a digital for like 20 bucks and it comes in handy if you are having this kind of trouble.. This way you can check for a short stator output voltage regulator output ect... trust me I just got done with charging issues get the meter
