Bearing Install

So I just installed the front bearings using the thermal method. They just slid in. But the spacer seems rather loose I can move it from side to side with my thumbs. I don't think this is normal. Anybody else experienced this? I was thinking they might seat as I tighten the axle. Any comments or feedback would be cool.

It's normal for the spacer to slide up and down and there to be about 1/16 to 3/32 of space. It will synch up when you tighten the axle.

^Like buellie said above the spacer has some move to it. Not completely flush with bearing, but it won't bother anything and you won't notice it while riding.
