Been 4 months, and the CR hasn't skipped a beat - Now Exhaust--

Huge thanks again, to Cooter and his help on my CR issues this spring. Just wanted to update him and the forum that the bike still rocks. I only loose voltage when it's crazy hot, and or cruising too slow with RPMS to low. It rarely happens. I've had the battery light come one exactly 1 time since I had to chase down all the issues.

Next i'd like to bring just a tad bit of bark to the exhaust. I wanna keep it stock, or be able to make my FMF carbon exhaust that came with the bike much quieter. I don't need more power, I like the way it rides as is. The only thing is the stock exhaust needs just a tad bit more bark on the road, so others are aware of me. It's just so quiet...

Suggestions? Not sure if I wanna chop open and deal with finding a welder to mess with the stock pipe, but if' that's the only option to keep it looking stock and not too "ricey", and not too loud, then so be it.

The FMF pipe is CRAZY loud. No thanks...

shaughn is a very good guy, very knowledgable with these buells, and a valuable asset to this site. your kudos to him well deserved. he's helped a ton of folks on here thru the years.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I'm super happy it all worked out for you CJ!:up:

I had a Barkers on a Lightning that had a 'quiet insert' in it and thought it was a great compromise in volume. Sounded good and saved a ton of weight. You'll want to put a new program in your ECM with any exhaust change though. All stock they run a little lean (hot) and the aftermarket pipe will make that worse.
Check out Buelltooth.com and Buellmods.com if you want to do it yourself, or PM AZMidget here and he can do it for you. They run better, and the fan works less too
