i am. i dunno if it helps ... i've wrecked a few times with and with out it. i do appreciate the gift from my friend. dare i say something as Clechie as: it is the thought that counts
hey the thought is exactly what i thought. i'm not superstitious either but i guess its more important and the whole point when someone gives it to you
My dad and all of the older guys I know are into cruisers. He bought me a bell when I got my bike. I think it's something that he did because of tradition, not superstition. The little story that the bells come with is kinda cute though. lol
A friend gave me one for my birthday and I put it on my xb12s. I'm not really superstitious, but it went missing directly after I hit a dear going 40mph. I managed to stay upright and make it home safe with no damage to the bike, so.........who knows.
well i was flying low and one ran between me and a van, so i was already hard on the brakes when the next one ran across. i hadn't been riding long either. and i just remembered there was some damage, a perminant crease in the seat.
It seems like all the wrecked bikes we work on have those. None of us mechanics will put them on our bikes. Maybe people think because they can't ride worth a crap some little bell will save them. I don't know
Mom got me mine so.... I have it there.
pounders i did have a low side i walked away from with just a broken clutch lever.
actuly rode it the rest of the trip
