So my drive belt is slightly enough to make noise rubbing on my footpeg mounting bracket noticed this today making some noise. Also seems the belt isnt sitting on the sprocket flush. Any ideas the cause before it gets bad?

possibly a bad bearing in the tensioner allowing it to sit crooked and making it wan to walk off of the drive pulley

Think its just time for a belt, im hard on it so its frayed, so first thing is replace the belt and re-access. Beyond that i fear, drive sprocket shaft has play and im about to hate my life.

You should not have in and out play on your drive pullie. If you do,your trans 5th gear is shot so you would be wasting your money and time on a new belt.

Proper way to check if it has play? I havent removed the belt or pulled on the pulley to check for play just yet.

I very seriously doubt it's the drive sprocket shaft or bearing. But with the belt off grab the pullie and try to move it in and out. It will have play clock wise and counter clock wise, But....
It's more then likely the belt tensioner making the belt ride on the outer lip on the drive pullie or the inner lip on the wheel pullie are fraying your belt
