What are the best Plugs for my 2008 XB12SCG ?
My local Harley/Beull dealer recommends Harley original figment but I've read on here NGK ?
Any help gratefully accepted.
Thanks.

air gap is 0.035 in. which is 0.89 mm
the iridium plugs have an incredibly thin and delicate center electrode. look closely and you'll also see a tiny dab of iridium on the portion of the ground electrode that faces the center electrode. this has been discussed ad nauseam on here but what i do is get a pack of matches, fold the cover over twice and that is very close to .035. OR simply find a soft material measuring approx. .035 and use that for measuring device. what you do NOT want to do is jam a hard metal feeler gauge into this airgap when checking and adjusting same. be delicate and tender when adjusting the airgap or you run the risk of not only dislodging the precious metal from the ground electrode but of also breaking off the center electrode iridium wire.

Those iridiums are nice, used them without any issue but I switched to the 360's recently. Performance is just as solid if not better but I can't say how long these will last. I'm not likely to keep any plug for more than a couple years anyway.

Before there is any blow back on the use of the Brisk plug tbh I was trying them for the Jardine tune purely for the pops and cracks on decel and the results are minimal... but not dis-satisfactory in anyway. The 18 dollar plugs are curious but certainly not necessary.

The only problem with plug, oil, tire, threads is the opinion, conjecture, and bias.

No need to hide your opinion! Have at it:) Don't present your opinion as fact.

Frankly $18 plugs turn me off, but buying 2 is better than buying them for a V-8! Ya never know. Theres just so many miracle cures one has to work right?? Keep your mind open and your wallet tight!

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The OEM Harley plugs are a great option for those of us who do not want to gap our spark plugs prior to installing them.

This is true but you should still check them. I bought an OEM set from HD that were severely bent out of shape. They had no gap what so ever!
If you get them straight from the dealer have them check em.

As with any part, inspect the item prior to installation. If you identify any damage, return the item and ask for a replacement.
