I did a quick search in the history, and didn't find anything relevant.
The other day I reached into my pocket for my key, and discovered it had come off the keyring. Looking at it, I discovered the head of the (original Buell) key is plastic, and the ring had eaten its way through the hole in the head of the key.
Since I wanted to keep using the Buell key, I found a steel ring off a badge lanyard, and melted it into the key head with a soldering iron. So - that problem is solved.
I have a spare, non- Buell key that came with the bike. It is a Silica ZD23RCP. It appears to be a rather common motorcycle/moped key. Retails for roughly $6. The original Buell keys are available from St.PHD. You can get a pair, pre-cut for $96. The part number is Y0732.T. You must have the original key code. Failing that, you can try sending them your VIN - it'll probably work. If you have the original keyswitch.
Y0732.T fits
2000-2010 Blast models
2003-2010 XB & 1125 models
