My 2005 xb9sX when I start it up to ride, the bike will start then eventually die I have to keep starting it so it can eventually warm up. After many attemps I usually get on it and ride it and experience a little hesitation in first gear around 5k rpm but usually adapts after a ride. The problem only returns after I let the bike sit a little while.

My mods are Race ECU K&N filter, and Jardene exhuast. To me it seems as if I need to adjust the idle so its at 1k rpm and doesnt shut off on me. I just got the ecmspy cable and software should a TPS reset do the trick? Does anyone have a map they could give me with similar mods? Let me know and thanks in advance.

Also a couple of weeks ago I did take it in to the Harley shop for 15k routine matinenance and eveything did check out ok but my TPS was low 3.4 deg

Sounds like the idle may have been previously set before the bike was at proper operating temp. If the idle is set while the cold enrichment is still active (bike is still warming up), it will idle low and/or have stalling issues afterwards.

1. Do a fresh TPS reset. Bring the TPS up to about 5.2 degrees so that the engine will idle.
2. Start the bike. Wait until the ECMSPY engine temp reads at least 160C and make the final idle adjustment.
