The lift I was referring to was the full Lift.Harbor freight Motorcycle lift.

Those are $500 This one was $25

I got mine for a 250. Most of the bike mags have a harbor freight add in front with coupons. One is so you can get the above lift for 300. I picked up during a warehouse sale.. got another bit off. Its a pretty decent lift. The box is nice too. I just like to be able to adjust the height and roll the bike in and lock it. Then strap it down. I can even push it onto the lift if its not running. It appears you'll need the stands anyway if you build the box. Do you need ramps to get the bike on top of the box?

Could afford to go with a pair of pitbulls so I went with the GPI stands. (factory blemish universal set 150 for both front and back)
GPI industries

Does the head lift / triple tree lift require you to remove the front fender with the GPI stands?

You do know that Craigslist is your friend. I bought a set of front and rear pit bull stands off Craigslist for $125
And with pit bulls and the pit posse (pit bull nock offs) you don't have to remove the front fender

I've looked, but nothing within 500 miles. The ones that are there are spooled in the rear, which won't help me. I'll keep looking.

Yeah it's a tight squeeze. Most are stands are designed very similar. I don't pull the fender for just standing, I put the neck pin in the neck and then position the tree stand underneath with a towel over the front tire and then let the neck pin slide down into the tree stand and slip the hitch pin through it to hold in it place and use the stand like normal. It puts pressure against the fender enough to have it rub on the tire if you spin the wheel. Good thing the fenders are plastic and spring back into shape. For any long periods of time or wheel work..I pull the fender...

You do need a ramp to get the bike on top of the box. I have a ramp anyways to load the bike on the trailer. You do also need stands to get the tires off the bike when it's on the box, the same as you would with the Harbor Freight lift. Just saves my back from laying in the floor changing oil, tracing wires, etc etc

On problem, the ratbike is to low to make it up the ramp and onto the box.
