Any suggestions?

My first thought is to check the air filter, then fuel filter, maybe idle adjust. I'm curious if any of you have come across the issue before, and what you did to fix it.

A little more info might help like what year bike and if any mods. Do you hear fuel pump prime when you flip kill switch on? Plugs fouled? Could be a number of things

Fouled spark plugs. Let them dry overnight and start again. If it does not help replace the plugs.

When I fouled my plugs I had similar issue. I just waited a few hours and after that they work like nothing happened.

I use a spark plug cleaner, then they look new again and they are dry. Dont have to wait overnight to dry. I am just saying.

What year is the bike? If it's '08-up the DDFI-3 ECM has a spark plug cleaning feature. I learned that from Lunatic:)
'08-up also have electronically adjusted idle.

Post a video of a cold start. My no-info-given-to-diagnose-the-problem-answer is...... probably low idle and its stalling...

Sorry for lack of info, I was in a hurry...2005 xb9sx
I'm in the process of bring her back to life because last owner treated her bad. Lots of electrical work needs be done and such.

But yeah, after some research I learned that good idle speed is around 1000-1050. Mine was idling just above 900. No Bueno!!!

We shall see how that does for now. Seemed to run smoother over all, but I haven't been out since. so...

Ya, they don't like to idle like a Harley (regardless of their family tree:))
If you adjusted the idle with the screw (pre-'-08) you'll need to re-set the TPS.

Hope it works out for ya!
