Bike with damage question

Hard to tell from the pictures but it definitely needs new rear subframe. Hopefully the mounts werent cracked off of the frame because that would be some welding. Im assuming that rear plastic is cracked along with the taillight lens and housing. Cant see if the rear wheel was hit but definitely something I would look into. Oh and there arent any seats which is about $200-$300 if they dont have them.

rear subframe, signals, maybe shifter linkage, maybe a frame, seats, touch up paint for the swing arm.

I don't know where 2004xb12s is looking at seats but you can get a set for around 120.
probably around 350 - 400 if you find good stuff.

Hmm I was right in the middle...oh ya it was an estimate.
I dont know what kind of seats the guy wants to buy [smirk]

$2,000 max IMO although depends on what work is actually needed, condition(pics not real clear), mileage, etc...

And all of that depends if you can fix it yourself. If you can't do all of the work it could be drastically higher. There are so many variables in this guesstimating equation that its really up to you the buyer.

Here are the notes from the dealer's site:

"bike was perfect before getting rear ended ... subframe is bent but could be fixed and seat is missing ...and shifter linkage is broken but fixable ... find some good used seat on ebay and fix the rest of the bike ... you will need to get a self assembled title before you can get plates to ride this on the street again"

mileage is 7600 and in the title column on the site it says "bos"

If I bought it, it would be with the intention of doing the work myself. I'm done with harley dealers and it would give me a good winter project.

Roger that. I'll see whether they are willing to negotiate. I bet I'll have better luck than if it was a generic i4.

salvaged......

and unless you plan on using it for a track bike....make damn sure that if it is salvaged whether just in name only or on the paperwork/title...that you can get it titled and registered in your state before you commit to buy.

Comes with a bill of sale. You would need to get a self assembled title. They have a 09 xb9 for 2500. Has bent wheels and fork though...
