Bike's been sitting in the garage, not been started

This 1125cr has been at my parent's garage with about 800 miles on it, the battery has been dead for over a year, just about brand new. Why? IDK, Its stupid. Now I'm taking over the bike. I heard that its not good for motorcycles to sit too long without running. Is there something I need to do before I get it running, like changing all the fluids, thanks yall

change fluids (gas, oil, coolant, brake fluid), check tire pressure/ wear, check seals, and replace battery.

I think that's it, and I'm jealous. I want a cr lol

Use full synthetic oil (Amsoil) not the HD stuff, plus all the other stuff listed above.

Just a year. May have to change the gas.
If it was close to full it should be ok.
Open cap and see if it smells like gas or shellac.
Get a battery the clock and computer memory will kill a battery.
After you ran it and it been warmed up change the oil and filter.
Look for leaks should be fine.
Ride and enjoy.
Many of these bikes sat in dealers 2 or more years it's not older than a 09 so the other stuff listed should not be needed.
Do check the tire pressure

No need to drain gas. Top it off with fresh and add Sta-bil or Seafoam - Or if it's full add Sta-bil/Seafoam and drive easy until you run the tank half out, top off with new and good to go.
