If you (or anyone else reading this) decide to go with powdercoat, thoroughly check out the coater!!!
Ask for samples (prefferably of the color you're after) especially if it's a multistage color. a customer of mine had a guy that does coating for a local factory coat the frame i had been building for his 37 ford roadster. after his third attempt, we had to pick it up(still the wrong color with no shine and blotchy as hell)and he had the balls to charge twice what he originally quoted.Don't know why, but my guy actually paid him?

Now as i'm regretfully assembling the car with the botched frame, the coating is popping off with the slightest bump of a wrench.
 
Oops got a lil happy with the add your photo button. The coater I am goig to use has done tons of work for the guys on my local forums and I have seen it in person. I have no doubt about the quality of craftsmanship, but you are right though check them out guys
