I was riding last night when I hit a pot hole pretty hard and the engine died on me. The light and speedometer were still on, but no engine. Pulled over to the side and it would not start again. I pulled out the spark plug and cleaned it, but it's only a few months old and Denso Iridium power. I checked the fuses with a multi meter - red 7.5's and the blue 15's and all were good. I disable the kickstand switch since I read somewhere that it could be it, but no luck on that either. Can anyone help please? What else could it be???

Does it crank at all? If it cranks and doesn't even attempt to fire I'd say check the connection at the coil.
Also, have you checked the battery connections? And grounds?
Something obviously got knocked loose when you hit that pot hole.
Did the bike die instantly or did it sputter to a stop?

A big pothole can trip your Bank Angle Sensor or dislodge your carb. Look the entire bike over and see if anything looks out of place.

I just replaced the ingnition coil and it came with plug wire also, but with no luck. Where is the bank angle sensor?? How can I check if it's getting a spark??

Here is some information on clutch switches and for a few bucks these DDFI plug-ins can be handy. The (BAS) bank angle sensor failure code is 4-4 or (4 flashes pause 4 flashes) If you are not familiar these access tools plug in, turn key without starting and the engine light flashes telling the story. A kind of sort it fast for dummies... like me :) Yep this might be the short list for "I hit a pot hole" since these are marketed toward typical on the road failures.

You're in the Blast subforum, they're carb'd, no DDFI for 99.9% of the users here.

99.9%......so you're saying there's still a chance!
I kinda miss the merger days - it was entertaining. Good to see you're still kicking around here jet.

There's at least two of us running DDFI on our Blasts...Loose1 and I. I know others have talked about it and some are gathering parts, but I don't know of anyone else that's taken the plunge yet.

I'm here occasionally.
