i just bought a blast and i was sitting here looking at a lightning. how hard would it be to put the headlight from a lightning on a blast?

You will need, the headlight assembly including bracket and lights, wiring pigtails from the lightning lights to tie into the blast stock pigtail. You will most likely have to adapt the stock bracket or fab up your own. You will need the light switch from a lightning too and you may have to run another fuse for the hibeam...but thats a maybe. Buellsterparts.com has the headlight assembly, the bracket and a windscreen.

The screen is on line 18 and the rest is on line 25.

I did this to my blast although I used firebolt headlight just because that's what I had laying around.
If you take the stock blast headlight bracket and turn them side ways you can mount the lightning headlight brackets to them. I made my own alu. bracket. Then just wire to the stock headlight plug. Not hard at all. Here's how mine turned out

Anyone know the size of the fork tube on the xb9? I'm wondering if I buy a blast headlight bracket will it fit on my forks?

Thanks,

hey im new to the site and to buell. i have an 2005 buell blast and not to long ago someone clipped my wheel and i laid the bike down. i need a new headlight but i was lookin around and saw people had acerbis and all of these other sick headlights so i was wondering how i could put those on? can anyone help?

The acerbis lights, and others like them, just use rubber straps that attach to the forks. I have one that I would sell if your interested. It's new, but I cut two slices in it to fit on the xbs headlight housings. It still has the plastic film on the lenses. I didn't like how it looked, so I never finished putting it on.
