My 2000 s3 just blew the dipstick out of the oil tank. I checked to oil level and it is correct but when the engine is running it is over presureizing the oil tank. Not sure where to look to fix it.

Overfilled I've done it before. Keep the level halfway between the lines and you should be fine. Check it with the bike straight up and down not on the side stand. Should be checked after warm-up :D

An overfill condition will certainly jettison the oil cap. But, more likely, since you checked the oil level, your engine is failing to vent adequately to the outside. I had that same problem with an old Shovelhead once. The little "china mans hats" in your heads may be hardened and no longer pliable. I think I would just add a Hayden Vent-Plus or the like, then you won't have to worry about those little "hats" valves.

Wow Patten. Nice insite....

Hey NwRider, let's see a pic when you get that thing installed.

yup, definitely check the umbrella valve in the rocker covers. That was part of the fix on my sporty when I had a dipstick ejection. I also switched to a horseshoe type breather off the heads.

Sorry to bump and old thread....

How much oil should my Cyclone take after an oil change???

My owners manual says 2qts but when warm, it was barely showing on the dipstick.

thats just fine ne more than that and ull have issues. As was my expeience with my cyclone. Over filled mine a lil bit once and blew the front rocker box gasket the next day while doing a burn out. Nothin better than showin off then parking u bike with oil drippin off of it. Oh and mine launched the dipstick once too.
