Bobber?

So a freind of mine is looking for a bike and has little to spend. I suggested a 80's bike to bob out I came acrossed a yamaha seca years ago i think could work and prolly find one for 800 or so. Any one know of any prime canidates to bob out . Must be cheap and reliable and would be nice if it handles well.suggestion?

Ive ridden blast and baught one for my xgf and i hated that bike never ran very good. Saying that even my bad blast 1st impression aside im looking for a bike under $1000. Blast aroulnd here are going for $2000 ish

i owned an 79 yamaha xs 650 that was 500$ i hardtailed the frams put a penut tank on it bobbed the fenders used some sportster foward controlls and various other cosmetic parts. motor was punched .30 over and i had ceramic coate strait drag pipes. mikuni racing carbs k$n intake and did the ignition swap from a yamaha banshee to rid the bike of the points system. i think total i had around 3500$ in the whole thing. it was a badass lil bike. But in all a yamaha xs can be found for really cheap and it can be built for cheap to. just google it they make a metric **** ton o parts for it. everythig from choppers to cafe style. Theres my 2 Cents take it or leave it. Good luck on getting him a bike

If you can find a 70's Honda of any displacement they are pretty solid and there are websites devoted to them.SOHC5.net and Hondachopper.com are two great resources for them.
